Concord FloralASTC is proud to present Concord Floral for our 2023 Winter Play! Written by Canadian author, playwright, filmmaker, and theatre director, Jordan Tannahill, Concord Floral follows neighbourhood teenagers who use a one million-square-foot abandoned greenhouse as place to themselves to throw parties, experiment, dream, and come of age. But hidden there is a secret no one wants to confront, and when these teens stumble upon it they set off a chain of events that include phone calls from the grave.

Thrills and surprises take both the cast (literally) and the audience (metaphorically) soaring into the heavens. Winner of 5 Tony Awards, including Best Book and Best Original Score, The Drowsy Chaperone is a comedic Jazz age musical featuring one show-stopping song and dance number after another, poking fun at all the tropes of the musical theatre genre.

Welcome to the official website for the Anne Shirley Theatre Company!
The Anne Shirley Theatre Company (ASTC) has been a student-run group at Trent University since its creation in 2002. ASTC strives to produce theatre programming within the Trent University community that is as accessible and inclusive as possible. ASTC wishes to provide opportunities for students to experience all aspects of theatre, both on and off the stage.
This company was formed after the successful production of Anne of Green Gables in the 2002-2003 school year by the group's founders: Emily Boag, Matthew Brady, Erin Clow, Rachael Nicholls, and Amanda Pulker. That show inspired the name of our company. Since then, Anne Shirley Theatre has continued to grow and showcase the talents of many wonderful performers year after year through our annual play and musical productions. Whether you are backstage, in the audience, or under the spotlight, the Anne Shirley Theatre Company would not be possible without you and your support of the arts!
Information about audition dates and this year's productions can be found under the 2022-2023 Season tab.
