CONCORD FLORAL
The ASTC is proud to present Concord Floral directed by Katrina Creelman and Nick Toth! Written by Canadian author, playwright, filmmaker, and theatre director Jordan Tannahill, Concord Floral follows a group of neighbourhood teenagers who find refuge a one million-square-foot abandoned greenhouse. Concord Floral is a place all to themselves in which to dream, dare, and come of age. But hidden there is a secret no one wants to confront, and when two friends stumble upon it they set off an unstoppable chain of events, from shadows in parking lots to phone calls from the grave. It's time for the teens of Concord Floral to start talking.

Meet the Cast
Amy Graves as Nearly Wild (6)
Amy is in her first year of Trent’s Bachelor of Education program, looking to be a high-school English and Drama teacher. She is so excited to reunite with ASTC after graduating with her B.A. in English from Trent University back in 2020. Amy has enjoyed four previous seasons with the company, featuring in Bare: A Pop Opera (2017), 7 Stories (2018), Cabaret (2019), and Theory of Relativity (2020). |
Charlotte McAren-Cayer As Rosa Mundi (5)
Charlotte McAren-Cayer is obviously exceptionally evil and wicked (I mean just look at her), so it’s no wonder she played Aunt March in Anne Shirley’s fall play Little Women and is now Rosa in Concord Floral. Outside of theatre Charlotte does pretty much nothing, sometimes she sits for hours and stares at herself in the mirror or perhaps has a little snack. |
Devon Noordhoek as Just Joey (1)
Devon is making his first appearance with the Anne Shirley Theatre Company as Just Joey (1). He is a first-year student studying for a Bachelor's in Social Work. Devon has been in quite a few theatre productions over the years in his hometown but hopes to bring something new and unique. Concord Floral is a story he has connected to, and he sincerely hopes you feel the same way, and enjoy! |
Everett McIntyre as bobolink (2)
Meet Everett! They’re a 2nd-year forensic science student at Trent University who uses they/he/she pronouns. Throughout his university life, Everett has worked with the improv team as both a member and a co-team lead of the “Skits and Giggles” team. Prior to Covid, Everett was in productions back home in Winnipeg, including The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast! In high school, Everett also helped write a musical titled “Out of the Ruins” |
Faith Williams as Fox (8)
Faith is a first-year student at Trent University studying Arts and Science. She is originally from Toronto. She enjoys anything and everything music, theatre, and has a soft spot for animals. She has experience in theatre, from being in the Beauty and the Beast musical in high-school to even co-directing an original play in her senior year. |
Liam Hammond as John Cabot (3)
Liam is a second year Cultural Studies and Film Student at Trent. This is my second stage role (previously appearing in ASTC’s Little Women), but has further experience acting, writing, and directing on YouTube in comedy sketches and short films. He has received two short story awards, as well as the Barry Dempster Young Writers Award. Much of his writing since is focused on film scripts. When he’s not writing and editing YouTube videos, you can probably find him building replica movie props or playing hockey. |
Madeleine Fortin as Greenhouse (9)
Madeleine is a fourth-year English Literature student here at Trent! Having done a bit of theatre in high school and then working alongside Improv at Trent for the past couple of years, it felt like a natural fit to audition for Concord Floral. She also loves to knit, watch movies, and spend time with friends. |
Paige Nelson as Couch (7)
Paige Nelson is a total softy, loves anything floral printed and looks like she belongs in a home decorated by your 80-year-old grandmother - all of which makes her the perfect match for their character Couch in this production. Paige is in her second year at Trent for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems and made her debut with the Anne Shirley Theatre company with their role as Meg March in Little Women. She hopes to keep performing with this lovely company during their remaining years at Trent. |
Teri Thorne as Bobbie James (10)
Teri Thorne is thrilled to be a part of ASTC’s Concord Floral as Bobbie James (10). Teri is a fourth-year nursing student and has been involved in theatre and performing arts for several years in shows like Mary Poppins, Into the Woods, and just recently, Little Women with Anne Shirley Theatre Company. Outside of theatre, she pursues her love for film and nursing as she is passionate about caring for and connecting with people! |
