THE ASTC EXECUTIVE
The Executive act as the producers of the show, managing everything from the company's finances to fundraising, publicity, and ticket sales. The executive is elected at the Spring Annual General Meeting. If positions are left vacant, a second Fall General Meeting will be held to fill those positions.

The 2022-2023 Executive

Picture
President: Elias Trivett
Elias is a fifth year Psychology and Business student and this is his third year with ASTC. Previously he played the role of Bobby in Cabaret (2019) and Oliver in The Theory of Relativity (2020). Among many others separate from the company, Elias has taken on the roles of Tulsa in Gypsy, both Randy and Jimmy in Almost Maine, and also written, stage managed, and directed shows including award-winning Sears Festival show Korigan, and worked, coached, competed, and performed in many Improv shows. Elias is honoured to have the opportunity to Chair the ASTC this year and is planning for a strong return post-lockdown.

Vice-President: Aurora Baker

Aurora is heading into her fourth year at Trent studying Biology with a minor in Business Administration, and a great fascination for all things anthropological and evolutionary biology. In her first year, she performed as Julie in ASTC’s The Theory of Relativity, and last year was on the executive team as the executive assistant. Though Aurora has and will always love performing, such as her previous stage roles which include Angie in The Wedding Singer and Miss Lark in Mary Poppins, on screen in The Novice (2021), and currently being involved with Improv at Trent, she has truly loved helping out with the behind the scenes of this company’s mission and is so excited to step into her new role as Vice-President.

Treasurer: Fraser Anderson

Fraser has always treasured theatre. Whether it’s watching a show, moving sets as a stagehand, or performing on stage, he love it all. He wants you all to know that this upcoming year is going to be amazing!

Executive Assistant: Madeleine Fortin

Madeleine is a third year English major at Trent. As well as her interest in theatre, she is also involved with Improv at Trent both as a member and on the executive as the Treasurer. Madeleine likes to spend her free time knitting and reading.

Events Coordinator: Nicholas Toth

Nick is in his fourth year of the Teachers Education stream. He has been involved in productions through ASTC like Laugh out Loud Cry Quietly (2020) and It’s a Wonderful Life (2021). Nick is also the co-founder of Improv at Trent!

Artistic Director, Musical: Brayden Ellis

Brayden is super excited for his debut season with the ASTC. He has been working in both community and professional-based theatre for close to fourteen years and is excited to share his experiences as well as grow along side the cast and crew this year. As this will be his fourth musical direction, Brayden is extremely thrilled to see this year's upcoming show of The Drowsy Chaperone come to life on stage.

Artistic Director, Plays: Katrina Creelman

Katrina is a fourth-year Cultural Studies student here at Trent. Theatre has been a big part of her life since the age of eleven, so she is super excited to be directing this season’s plays! Some of her past roles include Beethoven in Dog Sees God, Wendy in Peter Pan and Susan in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Offstage, Katrina has written many plays and was shortlisted for the Robert Beardsley Award for Young Playwrights by the Playwright’s Guild of Canada in 2021. Beyond theatre, she loves making clothes, watching movies, and going to concerts! She is super grateful to be a part of the Anne Shirley executive team and is looking forward to the year to come.
